Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 18:00 in front of the new city hall (Neues Rathaus). Or get your ballot conveniently delivered to your home. This is how it works:
Fill out the form at wahlkartenantrag.at. All you need is your personal information and either your “Handysignatur”, your passport or your driver’s license.
You will receive your ballot via mail. You should receive two envelopes and three ballot-papers.
The purple ballot-paper is for electing the Upper Austrian “Landtag” (provincial-level). The gray ballot-paper is for electing the “Gemeinderat” (city-level). The beige ballot-paper is for electing the mayor. To avoid confusion, the ballot-papers are also clearly marked. ;-)
The purple ballot-paper must be placed into the purple envelope. The other two ballot-papers (grey & beige) must be placed into the grey envelope. Make sure to seal both envelopes.
Place both envelopes into the big envelope, which has your personal data written on it. Now, for the most important part: SIGN YOUR MAIL-IN BALLOT. Without a signature the ballot is invalid.
You can place your mail-in ballot in any mailbox of your choosing. Be careful!: Mail your mail-in ballot on September 21. at the very latest. It is best to mail it a couple days earlier to make sure it definitely arrives on time.
